Peter Clark, MD

Picture
Dr. Peter Clark is a Board Certified Family Physician with a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatrics.  In addition to his office based practice that is now closed he was active in several nursing homes over the years.

The focus of my work was a solo medical practice at 220 West South Street in Groton, NY.  I delivered babies, and I enjoyed caring for infants and their families.  At one point I had a gathering of 5 generations of a family in one care room.  I stopped caring for patients while they were in the hospital in order to focus on office care.  I later stopped office practice, and due to ALS had to stop all patient care.

I completed my Family Medicine Residency training at Williamsport Hospital and Medical Center in Pennsylvania before beginning to practice in central New York.  I practiced in Groton, NY from 1992 to 2017.  My education has included a BA cum laude from Yale College, an M.Arch. from Yale School of Architecture and an M.D. from University of Connecticut School of Medicine.  I hold two US patents.  I was a lecturer at Yale School of Architecture.  I am an AMDA Certified Medical Director.

The diagnosis of ALS was made in June 2016.  Nine months later I could no longer care for patients.  After a breather, I am now working on revising this website to be a resource for those dealing with ALS.
